How to take a screenshot on your android phone running gingerbread and many others.

Have you ever thought how to take a screen shot of the screen on your android phone. "How do I take a screen shot on my android phone" Well we have the solution. Do you have gingerbread on your phone or do you not well either way you still can take screen shots.
     For MOST gingerbread phones you can click the power+home buttons to save a screen shot.
     For phones without those features there are many apps on the android market that assist you with doing that. Most require root access then there are a couple that don't require root access but have only certain devices supported.

New market update on android phones yet not on some

There has been an even newer update to the new android market. Some of the updates are better functionality and so forth. As for some phones like the popular  HTC sensation they are being left out of the crowd as they have not even gotten the new market when old phones such as HTC my touch slide and my touch have gotten the update. Nova Hd (Near Orbit Vanguard Alliance)

I promised and a promise is a promise. Okay so I have been playing Nova which is short for Near Orbit Vanguard Alliance. Here is the review on Nova.

     When you first start up Nova whether it is the demo and or the full version you are automatically stunned by the graphics. They are so realistic and stunning it reminds me of halo reach.
The controls are a bit hard at first but i got easily used to them.

There are 8 controlls that are on the screen.

1. The virtual joystick you use to walk around (Bottom Left)
2. The jumping button (Bottom right below the shooting)
3. The shooting joystick (Red joystick on the bottom right above the jump button)
4. The shock button (closest above the moving button, takes some of your sheild but will put enemies in shock for a short amount of time)
5. Grenade thrower (Above shooting, throws grenades if you have any.)
6. Pause button (Top left corner, Pauses)
7. Gun reload/Switch (Top right corner, Reloads gun and switches gun.)
8. View Controll (everywhere just drag and it will move your view)

Okay so it leaves you off at a cliff hanger, the question is do you want to buy it. I say its $5.00 this is like a xbox 360 game on a phone, game play is fun, game length is okay. Overall this game is fun if you liked the trial i say you should buy it.

How to take a screenshot on your android lg phone.

Have you ever wanted to take a screenshot of the display on your phone. Well now on the LG g2x and other similar phones you can.
        With a action similar to the iPhone, the g2x can take a screenshot by pressing the power bitten then immediately after pressing the home button.
         This feature has been very useful to me because every single screen shot that is posted on my blog I have taken.
       This can be very helpful to developers, bloggers, and pretty much anyone. Have you ever had a thread of text that is just so funny you have to share it with everyone? Well now you can do it easily.
       After taking the screen shot it automatically saves in your gallery under your captured images folder.

         Well there you have it. The EASY way to capture images on your android.

Google+ The better facebook

I have been on google+ for a couple weeks now and i love it.  It is better than facebook in all ways except for one thing. Its not facebook. It is kinda like the switch from Myspace to Facebook yet many younger people these days have never had a myspace but have a facebook. The problem with this is those who are trying it out have to wait and get all their friends to hop on board to the google+ train. There is a screen shot below of the android application. (It also just came out on the i phone market) Google+ is pretty much everything bad about facebook you can think of fixed and made into something new. A really cool feature that is not yet avabile on mobile devices is the Hangout. You can video chat with several friends at a time and they all show up on the same screen. Also if you have people requesting to be your friend but you hardly know them but don't want to hurt their feelings or something you have a circles feature where you categorize your friends and say what permissions they have.
I can give out invites to google+ since i am a member but all i ask is for you to follow the blog.

Better market? Amazon appstore.

For those of you that may be new to android my blog can help you out immensely even though it is a g2x blog. All android phones are similar but are different in there own ways.
So whether you just got a new phone or you have had one for a while the amazon appstore is a must.
   Every day part of my morning routine I check the amazon appstore for the FREE app of the day. And no this is not a cracked app market like applanet.
  This market not only has a free paid app every day but they have many games the regular market doesn't have. Like plants vs zombies, angry birds ad free, and countless more. There are many apps that you have to pay for in the android market but are the free app of the day on amazon. I share a account with several people and with at least one of us getting the free app of the day its on the account as purchased. I have over 100 paid applications on my list and as proof I posted a screen shot below. Thank you for reading and follow us!

Rooting the G2x

There has been many arictles on xda and many other sites saying there is a application to root the G2x. Our team is currently looking for a rooting specialist so if anyone has decent experience on rooting phones or even if you just want to write on this blog. Comment and i will contact you.

New update. Did it fix anything?

I recently got the update this morning for the g2x and I have been disappointed in it. Although the new gingerbread interface the battery life is still short. With constant use with full battery it should run out within 2 to 3 hours. Usually juice defender ultimate will keep my battery to a high level but it is not stopping the battery from burning out.

Update: It turns out that there is some issue when is configuring how much battery life it has. I do not know why it was saying only 3 minutes.

Lg g2x update?

For all those lg g2x users out there. Where is the update.  Many users report including myself the many issues that came packaged with the g2x but rumors say that there is going to be a update within the next week.  I was told by a lg representative that the update started last night via OTA.
